The Likhaan: UP Institute of Creative Writing’s (ICW) Panayam Lecture Series returns this month with “PAGSULAT PARA SA MASA: ISANG BALIK- AT TUNGONG-TANAW SA ISANG PAG-IBIG” by award-winning writer/critic and College of Mass Communications Dean Dr. Rolando B. Tolentino. The lecture will be held at the Claro M. Recto Hall, Faculty Center on 6 March, 2:30 p.m.  

The University of the Philippines Institute of Creative Writing (UP ICW) announces the fellows to the 52nd UP National Writers Workshop to be held from March 31 to April 8 in Baguio City. The fellows and associates of the UP ICW selected twelve writers in mid-career to participate in the annual workshop. This year’s workshop director is award-winning writer Prof. Romulo D. Baquiran, Jr.

Department of Education (DepEd) Secretary Bro. Armin Luistro, FSC, will keynote this year’s “Ambagan: Pambansang Kumperensiya sa Paglikom ng mga Salita Mula sa Iba’t Ibang Wika sa Filipinas” on July 25-27, 2013, at the Ateneo de Manila University.

In its 20th issue (Feb. 2013), the journal Kritika Kultura addresses in its Forum Kritika section an apparent dearth in current scholarship and publication on Philippine Literature in Spanish. Forum Kritika has a feature on Philippine Literature in Spanish: this includes five articles by important scholars from universities here and abroad; the articles represent new and exciting research and criticism in the field today. Forum Kritika is guest-edited by esteemed Prof.
