Summary: Karren Renz Seña’s The Lost Chronicles of Eden: Heroes

Karren Seña identified two major influences that shaped her sensibilities as a writer of young adult fantasy fiction: the stories she read and heard in her childhood; and RPG games such as Diablo, Final Fantasy, and others. In terms of form and structure, her aesthetics is guided by her awareness to not alienate the readers. She expressed that she has always been conscious of her target audience and of the importance of making them feel connected to her work. When writing, Seña is always excited about the possibilities borne from the narrative’s movement and from pushing the limits of world-building. Her current project, The Lost Chronicles of Eden: Heroes, attempts to reconcile what she perceives as the conflict between mythology and religion. This concern, Seña adds, is also present in her earlier novel, Champions.
